The Warrior Group Unveiled
Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of characters who will split off from the main group to begin their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.
This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
With a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
According to the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might seem unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
First, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise started the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.
Casimir then cleared his debts and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each member has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, desires revenge.
- The adventurer knows the region and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- However, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could assist the group reach places they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and Wicander defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This means them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in search of the antagonist.
